Architectural Preservation Institute staff and Construction Management graduate students Jim Joy and Alyson McGee provided the National Historic Register nomination (5LR.779) and the project management portion of the construction phase of this rehabilitation project. Now used as an accessible office building, it is a revitalized homestead originally built circa 1904.

Historic Preston Farm represents local agricultural operations, especially sheep feeding and the cultivation of alfalfa and sugar beets within the Fort Collins area from 1893 to 1940. These agricultural pursuits were instrumental in the growth of the Fort Collins regional economy in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

The project received $255,000 from the State Historical Fund, which awarded the grant to Historic Fort Collins Development Corp. on behalf of the owners.
